North-Eastern Style Statement

Now women have a lot more to look for when it comes to style. You don't have to stick to the bling, to the heavy embroideries, or even to the regular chiffon, and jacquard. Now, you have styles that are coming straight from the North Eastern side of India!

Soha Ali Khan is the Brand Ambassador for this Event!!
North-eastern Diva!
You have seen many fashion weeks in India, but it's time to see some fashion fest, and that's what North East Fashion Fest 2013 seems to be all about. conceptualized by Basic Concepts & Marketing, NEFF is going to be held in Guwahati from 20th to 23rd Feb, with a strong focus on the promotion of traditional and modern styles of North East India.
Well, no denying that women there are born with style, and believe us, this is no exaggeration as well.

The formal announcement was done in the capital this week, in the presence of Sailen Nath Secretary-Dept of Sericulture, Govt of Assam, Ajay Kanaujai, Dept Secretary, Ministary of Home Affairs (NE Division), Dr. Lalit Panwar, Vice Chairman, ITDC, Shyam Kanu Mahanta, Director APGCL, Anurag Singh MD, ATDC, and Rahul Bali, Director, Event Management.

Yeah, you must be wondering so many name, but considering the area from where these styles innovations are going to come, it was important to get associated with the ministries. This zone has always been know for wrong reason, but when we interaction with accessory designer Yana Ngoba, belonging to Nishi Tribe of this state, we realized that women across India really need to feel the North eastern fashion. Not just Assam silk that is world famous, the designer told us that there are a lot other materials that they experiment with.
Designers like Nida Mahmood, Raakesh Agarwal, Sunita Shankar, Anu and Amrit (from that region only), and Yana herself are participating in this debut event.

We are certainly looking forward to some colourful, vibrant, and one-of-it's kind style statements and trends that this event guarantees.
