Coolers & Smoothers for This Summer

It's TGIF, and we know that you are all making plans for your weekend fun. How about adding some chilling retreat to your fun this summer? Well, you don't have to go anywhere, simply take a look at these slurpy summer coolers that you would love to take a sip of, in a go. Additional, they are not just the pictures, but we are featuring some of them along with their recipes.

Virgin Lemon & Mint Mojito 

What You Need?
10 fresh mint leaves, 2tbsp sugar, 1 lemon, Ice cubes as desired, 200ml Sprite, Fresh mint leaves to garnish
How to Make?
Chop the mint leaves. Cut lemon into small wedges and remove the seeds carefully. Keep one aside for garnish. Crush mint leaves, sugar and lemon wedges in a tall glass using a wooden spoon for lemons to release all their juice and to blend in the flavors. Crushing of mint and lemon is referred to as muddling and is generally done with a muddler. Add ice and top up with Sprite and mix well. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. 

What Not to Forget?
Serve chilled!!

OK, time to get back to the same recipe world. Now, these one's are on a harder side, which means that these coolers will take you on a high too!! After all, these one's are from Vodka brand IICE. We can assure that the taste will surely delight you...

Strawberry IICE Bomb

What You Need?
45ml chilled tequila rose,
45ml IICE, plain vodka
60ml, strawberry Schnapps,
15ml simple syrup,
60ml soda

How to Make?
Prepare a basic sugar-syrup by stirring granulated sugar into hot water in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved and then cooling the solution. The ratio of sugar to water can range anywhere from 1:1 to 2:. Mix all ingredients along with lots of crushed iice, to obtain a fresh and cool drink perfect for the summer.

IICE Berry Blast

What You Need?
5ml lemon juice, 15ml cranberry juice, 15ml strawberry puree, 15ml raspberry puree, 30ml blueberry puree, 15ml cream de cassis, 45ml IICE Orange Vodka

How to Make?
Simple...Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and shake. Then double strain into a martini glass and top with fresh berries.

What Not to Forget?
Of course, serve chilled!!

Morning Dew

What You Need?
100gms Fresh mango, 15ml Crème de Banana, 10ml Lime juice, 35ml Dark Rum, 5 drops of Grenadine

How to Make?
Put the mango pulp, crème de banana, Caribbean dark rum, lime juice and the grenadine in a blender. Add 2-3 cubes of ice and blend thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the hurricane glass on ice.

What Not to Forget?
Garnish with a mango slice

Morning Dew

What You Need?
15ml Green apple syrup, 10ml Green mint syrup, 10ml Lime juice, Sprite to top-up

How to Make?
Put Apple syrup, the mint syrup and lime in a Pilsner glass, put ice cubes and top up with sprite, garnish with a mint sprig. Mint – Rich source of Vitamins and minerals like Iron, calcium and phosphorus. Mint is a strong diuretic and therefore, helps in eliminating toxins from the body. The anti-fungal properties associated with mint help in curing asthma and other allergic conditions.

And lastly, you might like to try something in wine too. This one from Silverspoon Gourmet again has exactly what you wish to try at home. This recipe is wonderful for early summer afternoons when the sun is hot and you’d like something refreshing and fruit-laden without too much alcohol!


What You Need?
1 Bottle of red wine, 1 Lemon cut into wedges, 1 Orange cut into wedges, 1 Lime cut into wedges
2tbsp sugar, Splash of orange juice or lemonade, 2 Shots of gin or triple sec (optional), 1 Cup of raspberries or strawberries (may use thawed or frozen), 1 Small can of diced pineapples (with juice), 4 Cups ginger ale

How to Make?
Pour wine into a large pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the lemon, orange and lime into the wine. Toss in the fruit wedges and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and gin. Chill overnight. Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you’d like to serve right away, use chilled red wine. 

What Not to Forget?
Serve over lots of ice
