When Dining-out in a Jiffy...

If your weekends are all about some great food, and dining out in the most candid way possible, then this feature will certainly help you zeroing-in on what kind of places and cuisine you must try in this rainy season. Not all the eating outs are always about the three or five course menu, as there are times when we want to try some new place, when we are heading for something else, which is important at that point of time, and therefore, dining out is more about relaxation, in a comfort zone, trying some good food.
We decided to try some such cafes and restaurants in the capital, just to see what best can women get, when they are in a jiffy, and still want to enjoy the relaxed dining experience, along with some different cuisines...

Miami Delicacies...

Look who is here in India? Yes, the casual dining chain from the US - Pollo Tropical recently launched their first restaurant chain in Delhi, and we decided to give it a try. Based in the sort after shopping hub of the city, Pollo Tropical is a Miami-based fast-casual restaurant, which has ventured the Indian F&B market via Paramount Group. Well, that's just the basics that we wanted to share with you, now let's quickly shift our focus to the food part.

So, what you get here is unlike the other popular fast food chains ( of course you know) that are mainly into fried and some junk food. this restaurant though, falling int he same category, which is quick food, food in a jiffy, yet has something healthy to offer. Want to know the reason? " Our core food is grilled, and marinated, we don't fry so what you eat is less oily and healthy. The classic grilled chicken that is served in US restaurant is on open fire, and the same will be served in Indian as well," said Paramount C.E.O. Manjit Singh Saini. While we had some good time at the place during the launch, and enjoyed the food (veg option), especially the cold Caesar salad, and the rice we still feel that certain elements of this restaurants may not be that well accepted by the Indian, black bean sauce for example!

Fun @9...

And, our next stop was It's 9 Bakery Cafe. This one is second newest in town, and seems to be pretty good in terms of it's location. right in the middle of embassies, the cafe is targeting the working women (of course men too),who are looking form some quick bites in a relaxed zone, anytime of the day. and, as the name says It's 9, the cafe opens at 9 in morning, and goes till 9 in the evening...
Fun time at 9...
It was good to review this place, as it is run by two young 'She' entrepreneurs, who prefer to stay backstage. And, what we tried was interesting too. From some yum Chinese soup, some salad, to some Asian-style rice, the food was a sheer delight, and was served quite fast.

While the food quality, and the quantity both seem to be at par to any fine dining restaurant, some basics still need to be paid attention to. Like, the dishes came coming one after the other, but the empty one's still were not cleared. But then, enjoying some nice food in a jiffy is not always about table clearance. Therefore, we enjoyed our last delicacy, the Blueberry Cake that was more or less like the stealer in their menu!

Dine & Shop...

This one has been here for a while, but seems to have gone through quite a few changes, all for good. Chi Kitchen has a perfect location when it comes to a restaurant. Midst of a few plush malls in the capital, this restaurant is apt for a shopaholic, who wants to have some fine dining experience right in the middle of some great fashion-catering malls.
Food With Some Comfy Interiors...
We reached this restaurant one afternoon, just to enjoy some great delicacies. The place has a new professional manager who has seen the world, and therefore knows exactly what women are looking for when they are shopping, and also want to satiate over some great healthy food.

So, it all started with a nice hot Clear soup that had such a wonderful taste of mushroom & broccoli. It actually activated our appetite further. And, the next in row were Crisp Veggies (in salt & pepper), and some veg Dumplings. Both tasted fine, as we got stuck Instagram-ming, and our food turned cold. In between we kept on sipping our Cosmopolitan, and Virgin Mogito. The interiors are cozy, and therefore all you are doing is enjoying food.
While we were having some Thai curry with plain rice, the manager told us that the next dish is ugly in look, but tastes amazing. Before we could go curious, the dish Khaousay Burmese was already there on the table. Yes, it did look yuck but had some wonderful flavours though, not very convenient for the Indian taste buds. And, that's probably one of the reasons why the restaurant offers full amount return on this particular dish!
The last one was an innovative dessert, flat, deep-fried, & honey-soaked crispy noodles served with vanilla ice-cream.

Weekends are a delight, but if there are places that can help you grabbing that quick bite, along with a fine dining experience in the most pocket-friendly way, what more do women want?

Share with us if you have been to any such place recently, and would want other readers to know about it...
