Go Quirky With Your Hair Colour

It would be unfair to ask today's woman if she likes to try new colours on her lovely locks or not. If you are one of those who believe in the technical & creative advancement in the hair care industry, sure you will instantly fall in love with the trend of changing hair colour with each passing season.
And, that's one of the key reasons we decided to take a plunge and tried the hair colours & technique for the on-going season, which is monsoon...

Limelite Salon, one of the leading salon chain from South India, Chennai to me more precise invited us to their Noida salon for this beautiful experiential last month. While we were excited to try the new colours from their hair colour brand partner LÓreal Professionnel, we were a little reluctant as this was our first experience at this premium salon!

Go Bold & Quirky This Monsoon

Yes, the year 2015 is all about trying some quirky and bold colours. From ravishing reds, to flaming oranges, to glam pinks, women are going for some stunning colours for their hair this year. So, when the season is monsoon, why not experiment with such vibrant hues? Well, now you may wonder, if this is the right season to get hair coloured? Hmm, technically not, but then if the salon is Limelite then you sure can break the rules...

LS is a very well-lit & spacious salon that is located bang in the middle of the most happening and business hub of NCR. It is one of the oldest salon chains of this area and has some tough competitors in the same vicinity. Yet, the brand has it's own loyal set of clientele and we could actually see women waiting at the salon for their expert to get free. Indeed, we too did wait for a while to get this expert (in pic) done with his regular clients, before he decided to give us a wonderful makeover!

"There are many styles in trend these days, and looking at your hair I think I have something cool in my mind. We'll start with the over all colour first, which is again going to be two different colours but a little close to your actual one. Later, we'll give Balayage, which is quite in trend actually,"said Atique our expert from LS.
Balayage Technique for Hair Colour...
Now, this was a little new for us. Ombre and highlights is what we had been hearing for quite some time, so we were curious to know more about this technique. " It's a little different style, rather a free-form of highlights. What you get is a casual hair colour look that's easy to maintain, and yet looks amazingly glam during a party,"he summed.

Not too convinced we were to say, we decided to leave our locks at the expert's disposal. And, no wonder he was so right.

Final Look!
For women, who are super-busy, a Balayage is the best form of hair colour. It''s a French word and the effect that you get is sweeping, beachy style. So, once we were done with the overall colour, with two different tomes for roots & the ends, the expert started with Balayage. He was particular in checking the parting first to give the right highlights, applying the colour according to the parting and sincerely wrapping them in the foils. After a while the hair were rinsed properly and we thought that we are done, when suddenly Atique said, "there is one more step post this. Now, I'll be giving you a temporary red colour, and this will be like a hint here and there,"he said.

This is that quirky touch, which we had been longing for, for quite some time. While this was done in a jiffy coz of time crunch, the final result was absolutely awesome.  The colours were totally in sync with the monsoon season...

So women out there, try getting your locks soaked in some fab monsoon colours, trust us when we say coloured hair perfectly gives an edge to your personality, and they certainly don't harm the DNA of your hair, if done professionally & at the right salon... just like Limelite!!
