When Changing Conversations Bring Fresh Beginnings...

International Women's Day might be over, but the strong message that it conveys is something that one needs to think about for the time to come. While some celebrate the day, there are many who believe in sending out that strong message to men and women around, to bring some change in the society. And, when it comes to bringing change, who does it better that our very Indian brand BIBA...

Once again, this leading ethnic apparel brand has send a power-packed message via it's new video, across the Indian society that follows the set norms of dowry. Pleasantly, this comes soon after it's powerful message on gender prejudice in arranged marriages... How about taking a look at the video first?

Isn't this beautiful!
How subtly and elegantly this video talks about the change that is slowly occurring in the minds of people, especially the aware ones'. The video tells that how people want to come out of the deep-rooted practices like dowry, which is today's time hold no relevance as women are independent and working equal with men. The video is telling people to be progressive, and Change the conversation when it comes to marriages. Mr. Siddharth Bindra, MD, BIBA has to share his thoughts here. " #ChangeTheConversation as a part of the Change Is Beautiful series. The feedback encouraged us to move forward and take up another, more serious social issue of the Dowry system. With this ad film we have attempted to take a different and positive take on the changing world. As an ode to womanhood, BIBA dedicates this ad film to the Indian woman on this International Women’s Day and beautifully captures the message of- Change Is beautiful. This film is all about embracing and celebrating that change," he sums.

So true! We all know that dowry has been a tradition in our country for centuries, and people relate it with cultural values, and customs. But, it's high time we change this whoile approach to kick-start a new conversation...
