Hills Calling This New Year!

We won’t ask you if you have any New Year travel plans or not, as we know you have your plans set to celebrate the beginning of 2017 with a bang. Well, all we are doing is suggesting you this one amazing place that we recently visited, for a perfect celebration. It’s time for you take a break for Mosaic Hotel, Mussoorie

The View of the City From the Terrace of Mosaic Hotel, Mussoorie!

We had been postponing this trip to Mosaic Hotel, Mussoorie for quite some time, and post this visit, we realized that everything’s for good actually. Winters have just set in in India, and the mountains are a sheer beauty during this season. And, when you have such a scenic view of the entire city, right from the terrace of the hotel itself, you would sure want to consider it.

The Vibrant ColourTheme of Suites is Simply Beautiful!
These Stairs Take you to the Attic…

Luxe Stay & Warm Hospitality at Mosaic

The hotel will give you ample reasons to make you feel in awe with it. Be it the Attic Suite you get to stay in, where the couple can enjoy the luxurious stay with the child , and still have the privacy, or the lip-smacking food that you are offered at the drop of your hat, MH is different and has a personalized touch to each of it’s services.

We especially loved the ambiance of the suites or even the deluxe rooms, as the hotel is making sure to add loads of colours to your room, something that women love to soak in while travelling. The pictures around must have giving you a rough idea by now about the stay that you can get to experience at MH.

This time, we were travelling with our little reviewer who undoubtedly claimed the attic the moment we checked in. It was her private abode and we sure didn’t want to disturb that during our brief yet comfortable stay here…

All–day dining Restaurant Random is Beautiful…

Post relaxing in the room for some time, we headed to Random, an all-day dining for a leisure lunch. The restaurant is amazingly spacious for a city like Mussoorie, where you otherwise find cutesy cafes only. With a colourful theme here as well, Random is rejuvenating. You get to see the hustle-bustle of Mall Road from the window-side seating. There is no set cuisine as such, but the restaurant has a menu for the day each day, and we tried and tasted everything in our two days stay at this hotel. So, right from the south Indian idlis, dosas, to Punjabi parathas, kadhai paneer, to Chinese Manchow and noodles, the efficient team takes care of your taste buds in the nicest way.

Oldest House in Mussoorie

But that’s not all neither at Mosaic nor in Mussoorie. The city is a perfect touristy destination be it in terms of shopping, sight-seeing or exploration. We got a chance to roam around in and around the city on both the days. What we particularly liked was the hotel’s itinerary that they had lined up for us to experience the beauty of this amazing destination. If Day1 was all about a long trekking to the mountain top, simply to enjoy a rustic cooking as a mark of celebration of such a tiring trekking, Day2 was all about checking out the oldest house of the city and observing the village life around Mussoorie.

It was a pleasant experience on both the days. One shouldn’t be travelling to the popular tourist destinations only to check out the hot favourites, or what the guides recommend. And, that’s where MH has an edge. The efficient team has curated an itinerary that takes you to the off-beat locations, rather unheard locations of this beautiful city. Otherwise, how could we have come to know that there’s this village near Mussoorie, where the major farming is of Corns and therefore each house has the super bunches of corns hanging out and around, literally decorating the whole house (see pic above)…

Popular Kempty Falls, Not a Must-visit but it’s OK to Just Drop-by…

Mussoorie is a must-visit this New Year season but the visit is worth if you get to enjoy the warm hospitality of Mosaic Hotel. The location that’s bang on the road right next to the oldest library where famous author Ruskin Bond marks his presence once in a while, makes an ideal choice for budget travellers, honeymooners, and nuclear families…

We did say goodbye at a very short note but sure have plans to come back soon to explore further.. with MH, but of course!!
